Well Daniel, I know you are always trying to get across the message of how important it is to hear Italian being spoken. As well as listening to Easy Italian News I have made an effort to listen to as much Italian as I can EVERY day. To those who don’t believe your words of wisdom IT REALLY WORKS. I have just returned from 4 days in Rome I felt confident to speak Italian, in fact my brain just let the words flow and best of all I could understand when I was spoken too in Italian. I found that I wasn’t speaking like a robot but actually having real conversations, I even managed a joke with the waiter! A few months ago I was in Bologna and tried to speak in Italian but struggled when people responded. I am not a fluent speaker (B1 level) so obviously I make mistakes and my topics are limited . But my aim of learning Italian is to be able to chat with the locals when on holiday and I am well on my way THANKS. Hope you enjoyed your time in Scotland and your daughter has settled at Uni.

But they do speak funny all the way down there… Have a good trip, anyway!
