I agree Hilary that it’s nice to hear a female voice for a change, but any personal preferences aside, it’s a 50/50 chance whether you are going to be listening to a male or female Italian native speaker when listening for real, so it’s best to get exposure to both. Interesting find it interesting that you would pick a singular news article describing a political point (not endorsing, just describing) occurring in the companies hometown. While I can agree that the “woke-ism” and “anti-woke-ism” debate has reached a fevered pitch, maybe there needs to be a collective lack of over sensitivity to labelling.

Please explain the meaning of ‘woke’ -is it anything other than a) something I don’t like/agree with or b) anything that’s prepared to consider someone else’s point of view?
