We’ve checked, John, and everything is working as normal. Are you sure you have your volume turned up?? Internet working normally?

Try another site with audio. If you have the same problem, it’s something local, not us.

I have listened to one broadcast but ,tonight cannot get any sound ! Only the text .

Una grande idea. Forse un po ‘veloce per me, ma posso scaricare l’mp3 premendo il link nella parte superiore della email sul mio telefono, ad es. EIN251018.mp3. Poi lo apro usando l’app VLC sul mio cellulare, posso rallentarlo quanto mi serve.
anche posso scaricare l’mp3 facendo clic sul link nella parte superiore dell’e-mail, ad es. EIN251018.mp3. Quindi faccio clic con il pulsante destro del mouse sulla pagina Web che si apre e “Save as …”

Hi Gill,

I listen to this on my phone quite easily: I go into my emails on my phone and find the one saying there’s a new broadcast. I click on the link within the message which takes me to the webpage where I quite simply click on play and hey presto! If you’re out of reach of Wifi, I’m sure it wouldn’t use up too much of your data.

There are likely to be plenty of ways, Gill. Another user mentioned this plugin for the Chrome browser:

I don’t know it myself, but found it by searching for ‘capture mp3 from website’.

This is a great service. I always have something to listen to, which means I don’t have the usual excuses that I don’t have time to do any Italian today! Just a thought for future iterations: I know I can download pdfs and all that, but if there was a way to freeze-frame the text so that it scrolls down under the audio, thus allowing me to pause the audio, to go back over something, say, or indeed to answer the door, without having to scroll all the way up and down, it would be a great help. I don’t know if this could be done, but it would be a great help.
