Unlike our ‘graded readers’, Diane, the content of these bulletins is not written by teachers to be appropriate for a specific level, whether lower or higher.

Instead, what makes them ‘easy’ is the format – the fact that there is a transcript for the audio, for example, the length of the articles, the way the sentences are presented as ‘chunks’ rather than a dense mass of text.

And how ‘easy’ the material is depends a lot on how you use it – for example, only listening, without the transcript would be much harder. T
