How can I comment on an article or bulletin?
Bulletins are emailed to subscribers (subscribing is free) thrice-weekly. Feedback is welcome, but you need to provide it via the club website rather than by replying to the emailed bulletin.
Replies to the emailed bulletins will reach us but we won’t respond to them. Email exchanges are invisible to other readers, so not an effective use of our time. Much better if you leave your feedback publicly.
Here’s how to do that:
- Visit the website and click on the title of the most recent bulletin, or if it’s an older bulletin you want to comment on, look for it here https://easyitaliannews.com/category/notizie/ or in the sidebar of the website, where it says “Other bulletins to read/listen to!”
- Remember, click the TITLE of the bulletin, which will take you to the dedicated page for that bulletin and only that one;
- Scroll down to the very bottom of the ‘bulletin page’ to read other comments that people have left (if any), and below that to find the ‘Leave a reply’ box;
- Fill it in, then press the black POST COMMENT button. Your email address is required but won’t be published (fake one, if you’re sensitive about these things…)
- Comments need to be manually approved before publication, as an anti-spam measure, which could take minutes, hours or a whole day. But all genuine comments will be published. Be patient!
- If we or other readers reply to your comments, you’ll be notified by email (you need to opt in to that at the time you send your comment), and or you can follow the ‘conversation’ – if there is one – by looking at the “Join the conversation!” widget in the sidebar of the homepage.
- N.b. When commenting you have the option to leave ‘your’ website URL. Sometimes people use public commenting as a way to boost their own websites, which is fine up to a point. If you have, for example, a U3A group in your country we’ll be pleased to publish its URL. But comments which appear to have ONLY that function – to publicise the reader’s own site – may be ignored or deleted.
